Privacy policy
The short version: we only ask for what we need to answer your request, we do not sell it, and you can have it deleted whenever you want.
Who we are
HyperPrints Inc. is a small 3D printing business based in Oakville, Ontario. For the purposes of Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), we are the organization responsible for the personal information described below. Questions about this policy go to .
What we collect, and why
We collect personal information in one place only: the quote form, and any email you send us. That is your name, your email address, and whatever you choose to put in the message — which may include a description of the part, a link to a file, dimensions, and the timeline you need. If you ask us to ship something, we will also ask for a delivery address at that point.
We use it for exactly one purpose: to answer your request, quote it, and if you go ahead, to make and deliver the part. We do not use it to build a profile of you.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone.
- We do not add you to a mailing list because you asked for a quote. Under Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) that would need your consent, and we do not ask for it here. If we ever start a newsletter it will be opt-in, with an unsubscribe link in every message.
- We do not run advertising trackers, analytics pixels or third-party cookies on this site.
Cookies and local storage
This site sets no cookies. It stores one thing in your browser: whether you chose the light or dark theme, so the site looks the same next time. That value never leaves your device and is not personal information. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Who else touches your information
Two services sit between you and us, and both are bound by their own privacy terms:
- Formspree receives the quote form and forwards it to our mailbox. Form submissions pass through and are stored on their servers, which are in the United States.
- Cloudflare serves this website and handles the domain. It processes technical request data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and block abuse.
If we ever add online ordering, payment is handled by the payment provider and card details never reach us. Because these providers operate outside Canada, your information may be stored or processed in another country and can be subject to the laws there.
How long we keep it
Quote requests that do not turn into an order are kept for up to two years, so that we can pick up a conversation where it left off. Records of completed orders are kept for seven years, because Canadian tax rules require us to keep business records that long. Design files we made for you are kept so that a reorder is quick — tell us if you would rather we deleted yours.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email and we will respond within 30 days, which is what PIPEDA requires. There is no charge. If you are not satisfied with how we handled your request, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Keeping it safe
The site is served over HTTPS. Our mailbox uses two-factor authentication. Only the people running the business can read your request. We will tell affected people promptly if a breach ever creates a real risk of significant harm, as PIPEDA requires.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be called out on the home page.
