Terms of sale

These terms apply when you order anything from HyperPrints Inc. ("we", "us"). They sit alongside our Returns policy and our Privacy policy, which form part of the same agreement.

1. Quotes and prices

• Quotes are free and carry no obligation. Nothing is owed until you accept one.
• A written quote is valid for 30 days. After that material prices and our schedule may have moved.
• Every quote states the material, colour, quantity, finish, price and expected timeline. If any of those change, we requote before starting.
• The price estimator on this site is a ballpark, not a quote. It prices printing from a file you already have, it assumes a solid bounding box, and it does not include modelling. The written quote is the one that counts.
• Prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude applicable taxes and shipping unless the quote says otherwise.
• All prices published on this site — including every "from $X" — are honest floors for the simplest version of that item. A real quote will never come in under an advertised price.

2. Placing an order

An order exists when you accept a written quote by email and we confirm it. At that point we will have given you, in writing: what you are buying, the total price including delivery, when to expect it, and how to cancel. That is what Ontario law requires for an online agreement and it is also just good practice.

We may decline an order. The usual reasons are a file we cannot print safely, a deadline we cannot meet, or a request covered by section 5.

3. Payment

• Orders under $100: payable in full when the order is confirmed.
• Orders of $100 or more: 50% to start, the balance before shipping or pickup.
• Deposits are refundable up to the point printing starts — see the cancellation table in the Returns policy.
• Stock items bought from the shop are paid in full at checkout, handled by our payment provider. We never see or store your card details.

4. Timelines and delivery

• Typical turnaround is 3–7 days for a single part. Multi-part builds and anything needing modelling take longer, and the quote will say so.
• The clock starts when the order is confirmed and we have a printable file — not before.
• Dates are estimates made in good faith. If we are going to miss one we tell you as soon as we know, not afterwards.
• Local pickup in Oakville is free, by arrangement.
• Shipping is by Canada Post or a courier, quoted per order. Risk passes to you on delivery, not on despatch — if it breaks on the way, that is ours to sort out.
• We ship worldwide. Canada and the United States are straightforward. Anywhere else, tell us where it is going and we will quote the postage before you commit; for a small part the postage can cost more than the part, and we would rather you saw that number up front than after.
• Import duty and tax outside Canada are the buyer's. Your country may charge duty, VAT or GST when the parcel arrives, and the carrier may add a handling fee. We cannot calculate or prepay these, they are not included in our price, and a parcel refused because of them is treated as a wrong address. Orders placed through a marketplace such as Etsy are different — the marketplace collects the tax at checkout, so there is usually nothing to pay on arrival.
• Customs paperwork declares the real contents and the real value. We will not under-declare a parcel or mark it as a gift.
• If we miss the delivery date we gave you by more than 30 days, you may cancel for a full refund.

5. Your files, and what we will not print

Your files stay yours

• You keep every right you already had in a file you send us. We claim nothing in it.
• We use your file only to quote and produce your order.
• We keep it on file so a reorder is quick. Ask and we delete it.
• We do not resell, publish or reuse a customer's design for anyone else.

Models we make for you

When we model a part from your photos or measurements, we grant you a permanent, unlimited licence to have that part made, by us or anyone else. We retain ownership of the model file itself, which is why we keep it and why reorders are cheap. If you want the file transferred outright, say so at quote time and we will price it.

What you are promising us

By sending a file or a photo, you confirm you have the right to have it printed. If a third party makes a claim about something you asked us to print, you agree to cover our costs in dealing with it.

What we will not print

• Firearms, firearm components, or anything designed to be a weapon.
• Anything intended to defeat a lock, alarm, meter or security device.
• Copyrighted or trademarked designs we do not have permission to reproduce, including branded parts and licensed characters. We are happy to print original cosplay work, your own designs, and anything you hold a licence for — we just need to know which it is.
• Counterfeit parts, or replicas of safety-certified components where a failure could hurt someone.
• Anything illegal, hateful, or designed to harass a specific person.

We do not police what a part is for beyond this. If we decline something, we say why and refund anything you have paid.

6. Quality standard

What we guarantee — and what is a normal characteristic of FDM printing rather than a defect — is set out in full in the Returns policy. It is the part worth reading before you order.

7. Liability

Our total liability for any order is limited to remaking the part or refunding what you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Printed parts are not certified for safety-critical, structural, load-bearing, medical, food-contact or automotive-safety use. If a part failing would injure somebody or cause real damage, printing is the wrong process and we will tell you so.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that cannot legally be limited, and nothing here removes rights you have under Ontario's consumer protection legislation.

8. This website

• The site's text, photographs, logo and code belong to HyperPrints Inc.
• Specifications quoted for machines and materials come from the manufacturers and can change without us noticing straight away.
• We keep the site accurate and will correct a mistake as soon as it is pointed out. Privacy policy covers what the site does with your data — in short, one theme setting in your browser and nothing else.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in force for your order is the one published when your order was confirmed, and changes are never applied backwards. The date at the top tells you which version you are reading.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Questions: .

Plain-English summary: we quote before we build, you keep your designs, we fix our mistakes, we do not print weapons or other people's brands, and a printed part is not a structural component. If something here reads as unfair, say so.
